BOTOX
BOTOX Cosmetic, often referred to simply as BOTOX, is an injectable product that contains botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin is a protein that can be injected into muscle to block nerve signals and prevent the muscle from contracting. When these muscles have limited movement, wrinkles are relaxed. Products like BOTOX, Xeomin®, and Dysport® contain just enough botulinum toxin to safely relax muscles and reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. BOTOX is widely considered safe and effective; when side effects do occur, they usually subside on their own without additional treatment. Our practice prefers BOTOX to Xeomin or Dysport because of its long track record of excellent results.
